Kate Williams was raised in the South with an eager appetite and a wandering heart. After attending Reed College in Portland, Oregon, she fell head, hands, and nose first into the culinary world. She covered the (sadly short lived) "meat beat" for the Willamette Week, hosted and catered countless dinner parties, and worked as a personal chef and nanny to three awesome kids. From 2010 until mid-2012, she lived in Boston working as a test cook, writer, and hand model at America's Test Kitchen.  Later, she spent almost five years living in Berkeley, CA, where she worked as the editor of Berkeleyside Nosh. Kate's also been a communications manager and content writer for food start-up called Mission: Heirloom, wrote the copy for Kite Hill's new website, and developed all of the recipes for the cookbook "How to Build a Rich Table," which will be released in fall 2018. She currently lives in Atlanta, GA, where she works as a freelance food writer, editor, and recipe developer.
